The Globe

The Undergraduate International Affairs Journal
of The George Washington University

Our Mission

The Globe is the only Undergraduate Journal in International Affairs at the George Washington University (GW). Jointly sponsored by the International Affairs Society (IAS) and the Elliott School of International Affairs, The Globe publishes three annual issues to showcase the ideas, perspectives, and research of GW Students interested in Security, Human Rights, Development, and other sub-fields of IA.

The Globe aims to engage The George Washington University academic community in responsible global citizenship through the promotion of undergraduate international relations scholarship. The articles published in The Globe offer rich diversity in thought and conviction, thus allowing for active, vigorous debate and strengthening our understanding of International Affairs overall.

Our Work

Every Fall, Spring and Summer, The Globe publishes its regular issues composed of several articles related to international affairs from undergraduate students.

As befitting the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of international affairs, we have published articles from a variety of topics addressing security challenges, diplomacy, human rights, economic policy, international law and more!

The Globe offers limited printed editions of its issues.

Our People

We are composed of a dynamic team of authors, managing editors, associate editors and layout editors to keep our operates running.

The Globe works to utilize international affairs research as a platform to build a community of future scholars among undergraduates interested in international affairs around the world!
